Hi all,

I've been reading up on how to go about the upgrade of ram on my mac mini, of which is the latest spec with the 2.0GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor.
So i understand the max memory it will accept is 2Gb, of which it has 1Gb now of 2 x 512mb. I understand too that the early mac mini's had one strip of ram fixed is this true, and do the new ones have two upgradeable slots?

Many thanks ;)

ps what socket and type of processor is in the mac mini too?

Just upgraded ram which I bought from ocuk, have installed and restarted the mac. Problem now is a flashing folder icon with a question mark (?) on the screen now and it doesn't boot up.

Gutted. Anyone any ideas what could be wrong? Please help.

that problem i think is when the computer cannot locate system disk or start-up folder, sure you didn't snag a cable in their ?

Sorted took it all apart again, moved all the wires that could have been in the way. The wire that connects the Bluetooth/wifi was loose. So reconnected and tried before replacing the cover. :D happy chappy now. Next upgrade........
