Anyone on here with a Mac Mini 2ghz? Upgraded it?

I have one which I use with Plex, runs everything I need it to, perfectly. (2GB Ram a few Icy Boxes with 1TB drives)
a lovely little machine, and it's near silent. It's so cool

You can only hear it if you stick your ear next to it and then it's only the slight spinning of the 1500RPM fan.

As for power thanks to the Geforce 9400M it's certainly capable.

Thanks. Thats what i wanted to know. Quite interested in getting one for myself after looking at one for my sister-in-law who decided to buy one but not received it yet.

Using a 3ghz AMD at the moment as a stop gap (Borrowed off brother). Would i notice a big drop in performance if i went for a new Mac Mini 2ghz Machine?

Not when you factor in OSX being nice and quick in itself. If you wack 4gig in it, almost certainly not. They're very capable little boxes

Plus if i put an SSD in it too that would boost it a bit more? Was hoping to get one and dual boot with Winsows 7 too.

Why do you keep asking about performance without saying what the machine's actually required to do?

It will be used for surfing the net, word processing, photo gallery editing, camcorder editing, internet ordering, some very light gaming, COD5 for example, recoding, publisher, emails.

Rather than buying a Mac mini and all this grand talk of SSDs and 4GB RAM, why not just get an iMac?
