Mac Mini 7,1 non-SSD

I am thinking of getting rid of my PC and buying a small Mac. I saw the Mac Mini Haswell machines and I think I remember reading that the base Mini that only comes with 500GB HDD doesn't have the PCI-E SSD bracket installed?

Nevermind I just read that you have to use official Apple SSD and they are overpriced.

Even so, it's not an easy job to take it apart and install your own on the latest model.

You could run the os off an external sad in a caddy like I do. As ChrisD said they are not as easy to open and replace the hard drive like before.
