I noticed the other day that the Mac Mini now sports the Core 2 Duo chip as it should have from the start. Anyone tried the updated version and can say how good it is? I am considered moving some of the stuff I do to Mac leaving the PC for games though sadly the budget isn't there at the moment due to a large spend on a titanium wheelchair. Next year should be OK though. .

That's a bit rich. The Mac Mini started out with the PowerPC G4. The early intel examples used the Core - the Core2 was unavailable at that point. 64 bit extensions and a bit more cache don't make a huge amount of difference.
