Wondering if there will be a refresh this year and if so does anyone know if it's likely to support triple monitors. I'd be quite happy to switch out my PC for one. Sick of Windows and all it's stupid issues and problems.

I have three Dell U2311H monitors and I've grown very attached to them. If I couldn't use triple monitors, that would be a deal breaker I'm afraid.

I'm open to other suggestions.

Refresh? Who knows? We'll know when Apple announces it. The Mac mini generates a fraction of the hype around the phones and fondleslabs.

Triple displays native? Unlikely. Intel graphics up until this point have only supported two displays. No real point adding an extra port that would be redundant for the 95% of buyers who don't buy the best spec mini with the discrete graphics chip.

Your best option is likely the Matrox triple-head adaptor.

The Mac mini was refreshed not so long ago, so, no..

They are not going to be getting a refresh this year now, the imacs/mac pro/mbps are however getting a refresh in May.:)

Any rumours on the Air... I love them and toyed with the idea last year. If anything special is happening to them I may well snap one up.

Aren't they waiting on ivybridge? Surely not throwing a Sandy in them are they?

All refreshes are waiting on ivybridge.

Would love ivybridge mini on the off chance it's quad core and has a decent graphics card.

Current mini provides for 2 displays through thunderbolt and a third via hdmi

No doubt it'll get a specs upgrade. The 'big' change last year was the optical drive being done away with but I don't think there's anything else they'll change externally, and I don't see them altering the design now until Ive and co. decide on all new materials and say adios to anodised aluminium across the whole range.

Why not? As stated by somebody else above, the Mac mini features the same processors as the MBP. Yes, the Mac mini didn't receive the processor refresh that the MBP did, but that's merely due to Intel changing models; it would have looked bad on Apple's part not to do so, the MBP is their biggest selling machine after all.

I'd personally say that there will be a Mac mini bump, not a redesign of course.

If Apple were to do that they'd have a whole new line-up, something that the end consumer likes...lots of new.
