I dont want to start anything here as I know how fanitical some people can be but.....
My Zalman FPS gaming mouse has broken and is being replaced so my housemate has lent me her mouse that she sometimes uses with her mac book, I assume its a mighty mouse but I dont know.

Anyway, I've used a fair few mice and I find this mouse a bit poor, especially when they charge so much for them!

I find the wheel a bit annoying and the mouse pretty uncomfy and not overly ergonomic. Was just woundering to people generally use these or are they replaced when people buy a mac?

Well its an apple mouse, Im not really sure of how their brand names work, if its just a regular apple mouse or are they all mighty mouses?

The wheel is actually growing on me a little bit but i still dont find it at all comfy to hold.

I had a hands-on with the Mighty Mouse just the other day, didn't like the shape, size or ergonomics of it either.
I don't know if it was just the one I was using, but it felt kinda unresponsive compared to my VX Revolution.

I really like the mighty mouse. It takes a bit of getting used to but I like the fact is feels light in my hand, compared with the plastic 'ergonomic' lump i used with my pc. Also, the sideways scroll is very useful and I use it all the time.

You wait until that ball stops working. ;)

I love my Mighty Mouse. At first they seem a bit form over function but after using one for a while I find them to be the best combination of the both. Contrary to belief they can be customised to peform just as any other mouse with secondary (right) click, middle button and customisable 'squeeze'.Plus, most importantly, they look like they should be controlling an Asgard mothership! :p

I don't mind the Mighty Mouse but I think the prices they charge are quite extortionate.

I ended up going for a Microsoft Bluetooth one that cost me half the price. It's quite a nice little performer as well, although I do find it to be a bit too small.

I liked the Mighty Mouse too, but having to clean it and fix it too often got a tad annoying, and i wanted a wireless mouse and wasnt going to pay the Mighty Mouse price, so switched!

I'm not a huge fan of the MM but there are a few features I don't mind. I love the scroll wheel - except when it gets gunked up and I actually think it's quite ergonomically designed. My biggest issue with it (and one which has stopped me buying one) is the weird 'right-click'. I simply can not get used to it. It's not for want of trying either - I used a MM while at uni and for the life of me I just couldn't get it to do what I wanted it to.

If it wasn't for that I would get one - I quite like the idea of a wireless mouse. However, even with a Mac laptop I've got no qualms with using a wired mouse. This may be against portable policy but I'm quite happy with it. As such I've got a Razor Pro Click and I love it to bits. It's ideal for when I boot into Vista to play games and it seems to be much faster in OSX than the MM or my trackpad.

Until Razor make a full-sized bluetooth mouse I think I'll stick to the wired Pro-Click.

I have ordered a Blue Logitech VX470 for mine. Seems to be getting positive reviews. Will post findings when it all arrives.

i got a mighty mouse for about £30 and liked it for about 2 months until i did the silly thing of trying a new logictech and found out just how bad the apple mouse really is

the only thing apple are bad at its making a mouse

^^ is that some sort of dig at the mighty iPhone? it has its faults but it still absolutely rocks dont ya know ;)

i've always wanted to get a wireless mighty mouse so i can keep it in my laptop bag and use it when not at home in place of the touchpad, but the cost and bad press has always kept me away... i like that it just works without a dongle or anything but i'm thinking thats maybe the case with all bluetooth mice?

plus it just matches the macbook, which as shallow as that may seem is a plus point for me :p

white mightly mouse to go with my white macbook, iphone and car - so sue me :D

That could possibly be the most sterotypical mac fan response ever! :p

Fair game though, each to their own.

I do actually quite like the wheel now, although discovered today you press both left and right buttons at the same time!
