Hi All,

Quick question....How do I remove an application? Do I just drag the icon to the trash from the applications folder?

Cheers

Yeap, for most applications - it is that simple.

But it's wise to invest on programs such as AppZapper - you drag the application into that program and it will seek out all related files (and zap them into the trash) and give you a more "complete" removal of the applications - because some of them store files in the system library.

Hope that helps.

I wouldnt give appzapper the money tbh, charging for what is essentially a spotlight macro is urine extraction of the 1st order.
The vast majority of apps can just be dragged to trash, some apps which install kernel-level hooks (Im thinking of virus scanners such as Sophos and Virex, and the Cisco VPN client) will often have dedicated uninstallers, usually in /Library/Application Support. For problematic software usually a quick google for "$APPNAME removal" should come up with the official uninstallation instructions from the company's website within the first few hits.
