MAC OS taking long time to load ?

hi,
i seem to have a small problem with my brothers MAC , the OS seems to take about 5 min to load and this started happening about 5 days ago . and before that the MACS CPU fan seemed to run on over drive & the battery wasnt charging .

anyone got any idea on what the problem would be and any idea on how to solve this problem ?

Stick your fingers in your ears, close your eyes and chant "it just works, it just works" until the problem goes away.

Load fan => full of dust
Taking ages to load => bad hard drive
Battery not charging => bad motherboard

On the bright side, you can take it into a store and make it someone else's problem.
