My home PC is on its last legs (Athlon XP 1900+ 512 MB RAM yadda yadda) and I need to replace it.... I am familiar with Linux already and this PC currently runs Edgy Ubuntu as its only OS.
Whatever I get I am going to try and avoid Windows (But will probably have to have it). Now what I want to know is whether I am better building a meaty system (2-4 GB RAM, uber fast CPU, couple of very large HDs in RAID- basically Mac- money spec PC) and running that dual booting or just buying a Mac and dual booting Windows on that if the need arises?
I guess the main things I will be using it for is image manipulation, office work, managing my music colletion, videos/ intenet, that sort of thing (Not really in to gaming).
Which is the better solution?
