As title. I can't get the wallpaper to change. I've not changed it in ages but its starting to bug me a little now.

Done some Googling, and I've tried this...
Problem
On your Mac, nothing happens when you change your Desktop wallpaper.

Cause
The preference that manages this setting has become corrupt.

Solution
  1. Go to your User Library folder.
  2. Open the Preferences folder.
  3. Delete the file “com.apple.desktop.plist”.
  4. Logout and log back in.
You should now be able to change your background again.

But that isn't working. It keeps reverting back to the previous. I am selecting the default Apple wallpapers too by the way, even tried the blank colours and it keeps reverting.

Didn't really want to make a thread but its been happening for far too long now.

Hope someone can help.

Not really any idea - It can't hurt to grab the latest Combo update and try applying that.

It sounds like it could be a permissions thing - It's also worth repairing the permissions, I can't remember how to do that on Catalina as I think it's changed but I'm sure it'll be described somewhere on the internet.

Other than that, I don't really know what else to suggest.

Thanks for replying. As soon as you mentioned permissions I wondered what it could be.... I installed Unsplash Wallpaper... it appears to be that! D0h!

Thanks for the replies guys.
