Mac OSX Tiger installation problem with new hard drive

Got my upgrades from Ry@n (many thanks

) and the ram works a treat, however when I tried to install Tiger on the new hard drive, it has a red exclamation mark on the hdd icon and says that Mac OSX cannot be installed on this drive.

Can anyone shed any ideas for me?

You probably need to run Disk Utility from the menu at the top and partition it with a Mac OS Extended Journaled partition? Or if it's already partitioned then you might need to click options where it says it cannot be installed and choose a different install option?
