I seem to be having trouble getting my VPN working correctly with my Mac (latest OS, fully patched etc.)

Set up is a DrayTek Vigor 2930 at the office with all the VPN options set up correctly as far as I can tell.

I can establish a PPTP tunnel from my Mac to the DrayTek and can ping the remote router (10.10.0.1) and also access the web config page for the DrayTek at the same IP:8080.

So all should be good right?

Well... I can't seem to ping any remote hosts on the network, i.e. I can't ping any of the network printers, any of the desktops or servers - this is irritating as the same username / details work perfectly when set up using Windows XP as the client.

So it must be something on my Mac or a problem with the DrayTek tunnnel and OS-X in general, I've tried googling around but can't find anything helpful.

I'm using the build in Mac VPN client.

sorry i'm being cruel try youtube for video tutorials

There is nothing wrong with how I've set this up, the VPN works and connects correctly just it won't route traffic in the right manner - seems to be lots of other people having this issue with 10.5.7

Disable NAT on the router for the VPN.

Unsure how that will help me too as all that will do is break the internet connectivity for the people behind the router.

I seem to have solved my problems anyway by just getting the Mac to route all its traffic over the VPN link, not ideal but its a quick and dirty fix and still better than having to run up bootcamp or a virtual machine to be able to use the VPN correctly.
