I thought i'd never say that but im working on my own software!!!! (Although editing someone elses free source :p)

Anyway got this far so far:

Link to temps and the control panel:

Need to fix the graph and Fahrenheit values as well as why the PCI fan wants to always spin at 833RPM instead of 600!

Also need to find the core temp codes instead of the heatsink temps!

Shall upload a version if anyone is interested? But it needs manual install as I can't work out the installer (yet!)

Cheers :)

It's not needed.

You can mess with them, but to be honest if they're not causing problems leave them alone or you'll end up with a louder / overheating machine under the desk.

Well thats your opinion.

I have Turbo Boost, hence cooler = quicker :)

And anyway, 90C load really isn't my cup of tea!

90C load? That's hardly anything. 120C+ is worrying..

I'm not 100% but when I last checked my 3.2GHz 8 core *harpertown* Mac Pro it ran in the 70Cs

Ah well, it harks back to my overclocking days.

I'd prefer it to be 65C than 85C.

This new one is much cooler and I have no idea why  Im thinking it may be because of the units is different from F@H but I dont see why it'd make a +10C diff.

The other one at 26C ambient would load at low to mid 70s at 1500RPM, this now loads at 27C ambient at mid to high 60s at 1300-1400RPM!
