They are banned from sale in Europe. You can still buy them from certain re-sellers. Hopefully Apple will release a new model sometime this year (more likely towards the end).

I might see how they feel about going over to a Windows machine!
Main problem may be the licenses for all their software.
They are needed for rendering and video editing and I was hoping to spec them dual Xeons or a single six or eight core processor.

Short version - no fan guards, therefore illegal to sell it in the EU after March 1st. 3rd party resellers with existing stocks are allowed to sell them on.
New Mac Pro coming sometime this year.
