Mac Pro Firewire port/expansion

Hi Guys

Sorry for the potentially n00b-like question but I need to ask.....We've just ordered a Mac Pro for a lab setup here at work. I know the Mac Pro's come with 2 firewire ports as standard but we need a 3rd, is it just a case of buying a PCI Firewire card and putting this in the Mac or will we need to purchase any particular model/brand of card?

Any help/recommendations are welcome

An alternative - do you need the full bandwidth, many FW devices have a second port for daisy chaining.

2 of the firewire ports are going to be connected to some video cameras to capture the video streams in realtime HDV quality and will need firewire 800 specs for the bandwidth and length of cable required (trying not to use boosters or active cables etc). the 3rd port will be for a soundcard that does only require at minimum firewire 400
