Mac Pro - graphics upgrade, is this normal?

There seems to be two graphics cards in it. I thought one would replace the other but it has the standard build card in PLUS the GeForce.

Is that normal? Should one come out?

Yeah, two! One is the standard build card, an Ati card I think - i'll have a nose and double check in a bit. I requested the upgrade and it seems the other card hasn't been removed.

I'll take it out - your response says it all!

I'd be off my head if they took the other, its still yours to keep or sell. Thats your property.

I'd be inclined to remove them, reseat your new one and perhaps do a refresh install?

I got the GeForce one as a CTO, so did EVH - but I'd either keep for safe keeping or sell the ATI one.

Yeah, will do that. It's a brand new machine, not switched it on yet so no need for a reinstall just yet.

Or you could leave it in and hang four monitors off it, the two from the original card being used to drive monitors that will just have browsers and stuff on them and don't need the extra acceleration
