just picked up a mac pro off the bay seller advised fully working with screenshots.

arrived boots up fine, apple chime but no video output, that's expected as its a flashed 260 fitted rather than an apple GPU, but 5 mins later still no video.

panel off card is seated correctly power leads are fine. anything I could be obviously missing before I start giving the seller a hard time?

tested with a known DVI cable and monitor both working fine before and after trying on the mac.

If I remember messing about with flashed GPUs with my old Mac Pro is that some GPU's wont [ever] initialise the DVI port as the port mappings are wrong.

Try DP or HDMI?

I've seen RAM cause this kind of thing before too. Even when you get a boot chime. Probably worth a reseat, etc

You need to view the diagnostic leds on the cpu riser card although I'm not sure how accurate they would be with a flashed/3rd party GPU. They should give you an idea of what's going on. I think you already know this involves using a magnet to get it to power on without the housing as you have already had the housing off. Usually the LED codes are only available apple providers etc but I'm pretty sure they will be avail' with a quick google.
