Hi

After the recent osx update (next day) the mac pro is no longer booting, no sound nothing, the graphics card fan is at full speed (tried different cards).

Any had similar problems?

Guess I gotta take it in for repair...

Thanks

Which Mac Pro?

Are you sure you didn't do a firmware download too?

Remove all but the boot HD, most of the memory and give it another go.

If it doesn't go then its a trip to apple!

I don't think I did a firmware update... last did a firmware update last year I think. Downloaded updates to OSX and two other updates (not sure what they were).

Just come back from apple store, might need to have the motherboard replaced (400squid) and other costs, probably won't pay that and ebay the parts or something then buy a iMac. (also want to charge 80 just to take the motherboard out)

taking my other graphics card on Monday (which gives the same result as above) but they want to try...
