do macs use standard pc PSU's? i think the psu in the mac at work has stopped working. I havent actually seen the problem with it, but apparently the mac turns on briefly and then turns itself off. i would have thought that was cpu overheating or something but nothing has changed inside the machine since it was purchased. i cant see why all of a suddent that would start happening. someone at work did some research and found that other people with faulty psu's were having the same problem. can i use just an old standard pc psu? or do macs use special ones (ie ones that u have to pay a fortune for)?
