mac to win7

hi,

ive mapped a network drive on my win7 machine using the ip and the shared folder on my mac but am getting a really slow transfer rate.

my switch is 10/100mbps and im getting like 6mbps.. but when I transfer from my pcs shared folder on my mac its full speed?

MAC -> PC = SLOW

PC -> MAC = FAST

anyone know why??

How have you mounted the network drive?

Did you use:

SMB://
or
AFP://

If you used the latter one or any other one - this is the reason. Use SMB:// rather as it is much faster than Apple's port.
