Hi all,
I want to allow all the windows computers on my network anonymous access to my Public folder on my mac.
I enabled filesharing and ticked my username box on the Windows bit. when I tried to access my computer accross the network it asked for a user and pw so i put mine in making sure I didnt tick the "remember password" box. however it gave access to all of my home directory! So i changed my password and unticked my username from the windows sharing bit.
I then made a guest account instead and ticked that in the windows sharing accounts options. However all the users I previously typed in my (now different) username and password still have full access to my home directory! without having to type anything in.
edit/ In fact I just completely disabled file sharing and it still does it :/
Is there a way to give a username-less and password-less anonymous read-only access to MY public folder? and not let them see everything
