Mac user new PC suggestions

Yeah go on say it comign from a mac.

Anyway I have had a MAC G5 for a while now but looking to cross back over to PC's, I knew my way around building dozens of machines when they had the AMD and Pet 4 chips but not a clue about these duo ones etc.


Anyway I want a PC mainly for web design , a web server, Music playing, Paint shop pro, Photoshop and some game playing like Half life and Far Cry and a possibily of some good other games.

So I have approx £550 could splash out up to £600 but I was looking at getting a 22" TFT in with tis price also which I can get a 5ms one for £160.

Aso I take it 2 gig will b enough as I am plannign to use Vista on it.

So a good spec PC for £400-£450 any suggestions on this or.....

CPU?
M/B?

So is it going to be ebay or Build a new machine (do not mind doing this)

i'd remove the competitor name if I were you, and asking for recommendations for other retailers is also a no-no.

There are quite a few 'spec-me' threads around, are there any within your price range? Would be a good place to start
