Hi!

Im new to OSX, and am currently using VLC for playing back my video collection. This is fine, but am lookin for greater video compatability in the iLife suite of programs such as iMovie. I downloaded Flip4Mac and that has given me wmv support, but was wondering, is there a free codec pack or the like that would give the Apple applications support for Divx and Xvid; i.e. being able to import and export such files in iMovie/iDVD and playback in Quicktime??

Hmm, I got the WMV Player Pro version and it seems to play everything fine , even when importing and editing with iMovie & iDVD. I think Toast 7 Titanium comes with a pre-installed DIVX codec pack but apart from that I don't know of any other solutions i'm afraid ... I just presumed Flip4Mac did everything.

Flip4 is working fine for playing microsoft wmv video in quicktime, imovie, etc - but it's not for Divx and Xvid. The 'Toast' app could work, because i guess I need a burning app sooner or later, but does anyone know of stand alone codecs for the apple applications??
