So,

I've got Mac Office 2011 Home on our Mac's, and I'm a bit of a Visio lover at work for doing diagrams.

I've seen I could just get Visio and install it through something like Parallels, but I don't have either of those applications, so thats a good £70 just to draw a few charts to input into my OU work... Maybe a bit excessive.

I've seen Omnigraffle, which looks good, but again, its similar cash.

What do you guys all use, and what sort of price are they. Free is good !

Omnigraffle is the best I've found. Takes a while to get the hang of, but now I've spent the time it is very quick and infinitely better than the unusable abortion that is Visio.

What sort of diagrams do you create?

I use LucidChart (web) synced with Google Drive for UML. However OmniGraffle is excellent.

no problem mate, can you say how good it actually is as I don't use it myself.

I was very tempted to get it myself, but I don't use visio enough and I have it on a windows machine that I remote desktop to. I can still remember when visio was free on windows many moons ago, till microsoft brought them out and it seem now you have to pay for extra symbol sets.
