I’ve got a MacBook 12 2016 model. I use it for YouTube, general web browsing and the odd photo adjustment.

It’s not the fastest MacBook in the bunch but does what I need albeit a bit sluggish at times. (Chrome especially) I’ve played with a 10th gen iPad in the shop and to be honest it’s pretty nippy for the few bits I tried on it.

Do you think it’s worth switching up?

Do you have YouTube premium and/or use an ad blocker on the MacBook? Might be a bit of a weird consideration but one thing that stops me using my iPad for YouTube is the constant ads that don't seem (?) to have a way to block them on iPad unless you pay for premium

I have premium YouTube yeah so the ads wouldn’t be an issue.

Chrome is slow on mac/ipad, use safari it’ll probably be quick enough that you won’t even need to spend money and get a replacement.

Will have a go with it. I’ve been using chrome for so long all my passwords/bookmarks are on it. Hopefully can sync them across easy enough.
