Macbook 13" Lion vs SL.

I'm just wondering, would I get more out of this computer if I were back on Snow Leopard, I only used SL briefly and that was to put my old Lion purchase onto my USB stick.

Considering I only have a Macbook 13" (white, 2008 model) would it be more beneficial for me to downgrade from Lion to SL, would it be worth it, would the performance increase be noticeable if at-all? what are your thoughts?

Not having problems per say, it just feels sluggish/slow sometimes really.

It's just the standard 2GHz Core 2 Duo, /w 4GB DDR2 model.

No performance difference between the two. Lion uses a bit more RAM so can chug a little when it starts to page out. Check the memory stats.

Probably better to look at a RAM upgrade (if possible) or an SSD.
