Hey guys,

Well I just got my late 2007 Macbook repaired due to the common palm-rest area being cracked. And although I got it through the HE store I was told last Friday they wouldn't usually do it for free but since I was told it would be free at an earlier appointment, they did :D

So, just got home and I noticed the trackpad felt a bit different - put it at an angle so light would reflect off it and the big worn patch that I remember so well is not there! Have they really replaced the trackpad too?? I'm sure I remembering googling it and seeing it was an expensive job. It looks perfect - no scratches, changes in dullness at all etc. I'm rather happy if they have because after 3 years it was starting to get a bit unresponsive.

:)

the trackpad/keyboard/palm rest are all built in with each other so yes you should have got a new trackpad and keyboard , the part costs about £50 and is held on with 6ish screws and one ribbon cable
