But what is the point in buying a MacBook and running only windows on it? Sounds silly to me.
Trouble is its soooo shiny, every time I pass the Apple store I have to play with it.
There is nothing I have seen on the market that is as thin for this sort of money.

But then at least try and use OS X first for around two weeks. If you just can't get on with it, then put Windows on.
Windows Seven is great...
OS X is just better and easier.
Each to their own, of course!]The easiest way would be to re-install a minimal OS X install and then use the rest of the space for Bootcamp running Windows 7.
Why you would want to do this escapes me. OS X is what makes the Air what it is. Instant sleep, 6 second boot, battery life are all there because OS X is so closely tied to the hardware.
Samsung make a thin laptop that looks a little like the Air. Get that if you just want to run Windows on a shiny thing...
Get a Dell Adamo if you want a sexy Windows machine
Dell have stopped making these IIRC. Sales were a fraction of the Apple equivalents.
6 second boot?
Yeah from after POST OS X boots in around 6 (ish) seconds on an Air.
This video says 12 seconds but at lot of that is the EFI doing POST.
Cleaner? That's a new one to me. I'd say OS X and its app ecosystem clearly have tighter UI design standards, and OS X generally keeps conceptual things in better order too (look at the uniformity of System Preferences vs. the sprawling Control Panel).but currently Windows 7 is my favourite OS as it feels snappier and cleaner than OS X.

I do agree that Windows is snappy to use, maybe more so than OS X. But my experience is coloured by using it on beefy desktops vs laptops!
