Why can't you get it to work? What are the symptoms of the problem? Are there any errors given?

If i knew why I could do something about it.(not having a pop) The symptoms are wireless is not working. No error messages. Configured pass word on router 128bit 13 character and the same on the macbook. preffered network is set to my network. nothing I have tried works.

Tap the AirPort icon in the taskbar and click the name of the wireless network you would like to connect to – if you are within range it should be listed there. In the pop-up change the Wireless Security drop-down menu from the default option, 'WEP Password' to 'WEP 40/128-bit HEX' Tap in your WEP key and hit OK.

It should remember the key in the future, and you shouldn't need to enter it again. Have fun with your mac! :)
