macbook battery life

I have got 5 hours out of my iBook 15 inch once.
I think its about 3-4 hours for Mac Books :S

Just unplugged my macbook from its power and initially the battery said 4:01 lef, however went to around 3 hours, thats in OSX with msn, firfox with multiple tabs, itunes, etc all running, ohh and airport, bluetooth etc all running
to be honest, don't even consider running windows on a macbook, thats just evil, i bought my macbook thinking i will install parallels and probably spend most of my time in XP world rather than osx as it was what i am so used to, thankfully i have seen the light and run osx full time now.
also, the macbook is very good at allowing you to alter all sorts of power saving rubbish so battery life can probably be increased with say shorter time to dim the screen and various other tweaks

3-5 Hours on my MacBook Pro.. usually that includes playing DVD and a lot of active web browsing.
I turn off Bluetooth though; only Airport running in that respects

I'm betting it could push 4+ easy if all you wanted to do was surf.. and don't forget you could always turn it to "better battery life" in power saving, and then your sorted!porkrind said:

The macbook has a brilliant battery! I changed from a sony VAIO to my macbook about 3months ago and I still can't believe how better it is!

The battery life on the MacBook is excellent. Using multiple 'pro' applications I could get 4 hours battery life easy. The MacBook Pro battery life is considerably less - but there is a lot more power in this machine and I bought a second battery so I'm not too bothered.
