Macbook Battery

Hey guys

After I finish uni I'm going to replace the battery in my Macbook, simply because I've had it pretty much plugged into the mains since I've had it. This has worn down the battery a fair amount so would like to start from new when I finish

I've seen plenty of e-bay for around £30-40, are these proper Apple batteries like they claim or are they most likely fakes?

If so, does anyone know where I can get an official battery for the same sort of price

I don't think you can get a fake battery, but you can get 3rd party batterys not made by Apple. If you buy one from eBay just make sure it has warrenty, returns policy and from a power seller if possible so if you have doubts that it's real, you can return it.

Why has having it plugged into the mains worn it down?
