Yes, I have one of the first Macbooks and no I didn't send it back upon realizing it was becoming discolored. Now, my warranty has completely ran out and it's finally starting to bug me.

I've read about this Mr Clean Magic Eraser but can't seem to find any of the stuff in the UK. I'm not really sure if it would help my problem though.

Is there anyway I could pay Apple to replace my keyboard covering with the new version that doesn't discolor? If so, how much is this likely to set me back?

Thanks.

[edit]I've just found some of this JML stuff, it looks and sounds the same as the Mr. Clean stuff?

It actually became discolored within the first month of having it. However, it's not extremely prominent but still noticeable. I had earlier problems with the macbook booting up and also with the display so didn't want to send it back or report another problem. Couldn't be bothered being without it for a few weeks.

I doubt they'd replace it without the warranty or applecare.

Does anyone know if the JML stuff works?
