Macbook doesnt go into standby when I shut the lid?

As per title, for some reaosn my Macbook is no longer going into standby when I shut the lid.

The apple logo remains lit, and the screen still stays on.

Any ideas? :confused:

Yes, but I didnt have to before now, it would do it itself.

I had the keyboard and surrounding case replaced by Apple last week, and it has only been happening since that point.

I think they must have done something to it, so I'm going to take it back next week and see what they say.

Yeah, my friend had that problem when they replaced the motherboard. I think he said there was a chip that talks to the battery as well as handling the sleep functions that can get knocked quite easily or something.

just rang meadowhall and they said I will have to book it in for them to have a look at it. :mad:
