macbook dvi out resolution

hi guys,

am hoping to buy an HD tv soon with 1366 x 768 resolution, and was hoping to plug my macbook into the vga input so i can play dvds through it.

would the macbook support that resolution in clone mode and extended display?

was hoping to do a clone mode, so have both my macbook screen (1280 x 800) and my tv showing the same thing.

We've had a few threads about this not so long ago.

I think the conclusion was yes, but you will need to use SwitchResX to create a custom resolution.
