I have an early 2008 white macbook that has,
2.4ghz core 2 duo,
4GB 677mhz ram,
160GB sata hdd,
13 inch display and unfortunately
the intel gmax3100 graphics chip.

All the new macbooks have the nvidia 9400M chip, what i was wondering since you can't directly upgrade the gpu in this thing, would apple be willing to upgrade my board in this thing so i have the new gpu logic board? (paying them for it obviously) and if not why not?

just a thought but it sucks being stuck with hardware when better stuff is available, no doubt it being apple i'd have to buy a BRAND NEW macbook. bleh.

Thanks.

i'd say the new logic boards with the 9400m would probably have different mounting holes and form factor so probably wont fit, since the white macbook has had a redesign since yours was manufactured, you never know though might be worth a search on google or going into your local apple store and asking unless a user on here can give a definitive answer.

hmm i thought the early 2009 models still had the same case just the late 2009 models had the unibody design?
