Well, I've just put in a 2GB stick of PC2-5300 in my MacBook. Previously there were two stick of 512MB in there. I've left a stick of 512 in there though so the total is 2.5GB of RAM. Everything is fine and the Macbook seems a little zippier when handling multiple programs. I just wondered wether there would be any benefit in removing the 512MB stick that is still in there and just leave the one 2GB DIMM. Would this provide any sort of speed increase? Obviously at the sacrifice of capacity. Cheers in advance. :)
