Hi all
So here's the story
I have two MacBooks (A1278, non pro), one has a dead board but the display all works.
And the other worked perfectly fine, but the glass was smashed (not the LCD, the glass pannel)
So, we brought a new glass pannel to replace the smashed one, so did all the correct steps to remove the glass etc...
Now here's the problem, since being re-assembled, it tells me that there is no WiFi hardware installed, however the camera and the bluetooth work (all 3 of these, the wifi, camera and bluetooth) all run through one cable. Have checked inside, the AirPort Card is attached as it should be, all the cables are attached as they should be.
Have tried a different airport card (the one from the second macbook mentioned above) and it still does the same thing, the wifi worked perfectly fine prior to the glass being replaced, and there are no cables for the wifi under the glass (they are all in the clutch tube thing on the bottom of the lid), so having not even touched the AirPort card, there is no way that both of these airport cards could be faulty.
Its not a software thing either as have booted to a Mac recovery CD to see if it worked within there and its still says the same.
I have yet to attach the new glass pannel, as it made sense to check all was working before re-attaching the new glass and wasting the glue if i had forgotten something.
Any suggestions????
Thanks!
