Macbook or Dell XPS 13.3"

Hi there,

Well, heres the big Q......overlaps the Mac hardware forum though.

I am in need of a nice mobile sleek laptop, which will last just under 3 years.....

Its either the XPS - 2GB ram 13.3" C2D

or the new Macbook, with 2gb ram, the 13.3"...C2D

They both have same chips I think,and relatively same price...

What you guys think?

Housemate got the XPS, I've got the MacBook. I love my MB, because Mac OS really is good. I could use it all the time.

MB is slightly heavier, only slightly though: not worth worrying about.

From my biased point of view it's the MB that wins though, I didn't want just another Windows laptop. I know my Apple will hold value very well.

If you've got any specific MB questions as to what you're going to be doing with it, have a look in the Mac forums, people are nice in there

If you're a windows user and you're not bothered by OSX then the XPS. If you're curious get the MB and dual-boot with OSX/XP

I had the same problem, got the macbook and am sooo happy with it.

With the Mac you can always run XP/vista in bootcamp.

id get the xps dont like the mac book keyboard but i guess you just need to get use to them

Right...

I've looked at the highstreet shops..want to go town and buy one tomorrow..

The big names , are selling "Apple macbook 2.16ghz" - for £950 same as apples price....

Is this a mistake or are these the older ones..without santa rosa?

I've got a xps off the bay

Haven't looked back at all

I have used the macbooks extensively enough,

Both of them have nice touches but the XPS does it for me.

I've got an M1330 XPS Fully loaded, One of the best laptops i've used (And i've used a lot of machine).

I've take off vista and put on XP, the machine really does fly, very quick full stop, which is amazing considering its size.
