MacBook Pro 15" Screen options

Upgrade time. I've been quietly coveting the quad core 15" MBP since it came out whilst peering unhappily at the graphics card spec in the base model. Now they've fixed that it's time to get one before they remove all the ports make it a 15" Air.

I've previously owned an original Core Duo MBP many years ago so I'm familiar with the 1440x900 matte screens. Is the 1680x1050 anti-glare upgrade worth it? I do find the reflections on the glass screen of my current 13" MB rather distracting.

I went for the matte option on my 15'' MBP and i'm so glad i did. My friend owns a 15'' with the standard screen and in comparison its very uncomfortable to use outside or in any real bright areas. I would really recommend the matte.

Went to the Apple Store and took a look. The matte is a vast improvement under the store lighting and the increased res is good. They don't keep matte in stock apart from the maxxed out 2.5Ghz version at £2100+

I've ordered today via the website, ETA about a week.

Now to sell the Alu MacBook...
