Macbook Pro 2.2GHz ETA?

I have changed my mind over buying the macbook black and now am looking to buy the macbook pro 2.2ghz version on the apple website it says that it will ship in 7 days but many people have reported it's more like 2 weeks does anyone know when the new shipment will arrive or anybody on here with an eta on there own macbook pro.

Ordered on the 14th June, Arrived on the 27th. Just under 2 weeks from placing the order.

Another vote for Apecode.

If it wasn't for that site I'd have relied on the Apple tracking page, which, in past experiences is a bit too liberal with it's estimates.

My max'ed 17' MBP came in under 2 weeks :cool:
 
Check the shipment status page, it's on there 24hrs once it's been dispatched :)
 
Apple Stores keep a lot of configurations in stock.

Probably could go there today and walk out same day with it.

Thats what im planning to do with my 2.2/Airport/£65 3 year cover.

Oh and I'd wait for 2 months, new HDs and 10.5 coming. Hopefully apple will add the 200Gb 7200RPM from IBM or Seagate for less than +£150 :rolleyes:

Still going to bargain with em tho cos I'll install it myself if they wont drop the price.

You want them to drop the price on a MBP because there's a 7200rpm 200GB coming out soon? Good luck!

They might throw in a freebie or two, but I doubt they'd budge as the stores generally won't add anything to the machine that's not directly available in the range.

Might be worth getting the lowest spec HDD and getting it upgraded at a repair store (authorised resellers will do it) under the warranty.. or brave it yourself :)

Unless of course it comes out, and they don't have the particular model in stock.. they might drop the price on a 160GB 7200RPM for the inconvenience.

No, because I can buy (or will be able to) a 200Gb 7200 disk from here for £120.

Now I sell the old one and thats £40ish so the whole thing only costs me £80 instead of the +£150 then want for the 160gb 7200.

Thats why ;)

I know I want the same drive, but I doubt they'll offer you a discount unless Apple decide to put them in future machines.
