MacBook Pro 2017 latest slow wifi?

I have a strange problem with my brand new MacBook.
The wifi is really slow when I do speed tests I am getting 40-60mb up and down but on my old MacBook late 2013 I was getting 350mb up and down... I have a 500mb connection at home..

now I have looked on the net and seems if you delete certain files in the system registry and restart its fine but I've tried this and it keeps going back to really slow again!

any ideas how to sort this or is this an apple job?

My first port of call would be the Apple online chat support. I've dealt with them a few times recently and they're pretty good. Chances are that they'll suggest you book yourself into an Apple store.

How old is it? If you've had it less than a fortnight, there's a good possibility that if they can't sort it quickly and easily, they'll do a straight swap for a new one.

I don't know what you mean by 'system registry' though.

There is no registry in macOS.
