hi guys

i am looking for a way to plug a second vga or hdmi display in to my macbook pro is there a usb or firewire way to do this or any way that some one can come up with :D

Just by the power button is your DVI output. iirc you should have had a DVI to VGA convertor in the box ;)

If you want HDMI you'll need a DVI to HDMI Cable :)

I think he means plug in 2+ differing external displays.

This could be done on the PowerBook as there was a PC Card slot.

Matrox does this thingy

From this discussion here

"I now have multiple monitors working from my MacbookPro pro using the Magma ExpressBox1 Pro along with a NVidia GeForce 7300GT. It's not a cheap solution but it is the first I've seen working with each monitor treated as such by osx."

Or the sidecar
