I use Command+Shift+4 and get to screen shot certain things then.

You are able to drag a box over things.

Drag the bottom right hand corner until it's as big as you like.

Why though? You will end up with lots of wasted space.

Press the + in the top left to make the window as big as it needs to be. It will automatically increase (or decrease) to fit the content of the page.

Apple+Shift+4 = Select area for screenshot (appears on desktop)
Apple+Shift+3 = Full screenshot

Also..

Apple+shift+4 then press spacebar ;)

...allows you to do a window-specific screenshot!!

OS X isn't like Windows in the sense you can have completely full sized windows to the size of the screen - for example if I where to click the maximize on this window it only goes taller, not wider as it does not need to accomodate the rest.

You can drag the window by the tab in the bottom right hand corner if you wish (the drag tool icon is the three sequentially smaller lines at the corner) and have it what ever size you wish!

Hope this helps!

If you get stuck i'm usually on MSN and my MSN addy is in my trust if you want a quick question answering.
