I'm running a 2013 MBP and have 502 cycles so it does seem pretty high.

1268 cycles on my 2009 macbook pro 
i know that probably doesn't help too much. The battery on mine is pretty poor now, obviously. Lasts maybe an hour and a half tops. Always just have it plugged in now though and don't use it out and about so it's ok. Sorry that this wasn't overly relevant!
