Hi there,
Basically having a few probs with my Macbook Pro 15 inch (June 2009) audio when I'm using Windows 7 (completely fine on OSX). Often the output of audio has static come out. The static is only produced when a noise is made so it's not constant. Not really sure what causes it and it basically seems to happen randomly. Only fix is a restart but thats a bit of a pain and it doesn't happen on OSX so I'm going to presume its a driver issue but struggling to find any updates for them...

Another problem is my microphone on Skype produces a lot of static and is quite quiet however it's all on max boost (well 0, -10, -20 are only options) and maximum volume. I've tried tinkering with it and if I reduce the volume of the mic the static is reduced but then I'm just really quiet...

Any ideas for either of these two problems? It's weird it only happens on Windows and I'm really not sure how to fix so any ideas would be welcome!

Cheers.

Which bootcamp drivers are you using?? And have you got w7 32 or 64bit?, there used to be issues for vista and bootcamp originally with my 09 model where the light stayed on all the time for sound for some reason but I fixed it when snow leopards bootcamp stuff came out...

Cheers for replies. I have W7 64bit w/ snow leopard and yeah I don't have the light on anymore with that.

And OzyOly I don't have a realteck it's cirrus instead and I can barely find any drivers for that. I searched but they seem pretty poor with support...
