Macbook Pro driver update

this is a real noob question but how do i update a graphics driver on a macbook pro?

You wait for Apple to release an update that includes them. You can't update them yourself unless you're using a different OS.

ok.

right i have a problem with a macbook pro screen. its randomly drawing horizontal lines every now and then on the screen. is it a hardware issue?

Is it an nvidia chipset?

na, its old ati x1600

is there anything to totally recify this?! no obstuction of fans as ive taken it apart, installed SMC fan control and as soon as it hits 50c i get some glitches - fans are whacked up and its annnoyingly loud. ive been told it hasnt always done this.....
