In bootcamp on my Macbook Pro, which I use for gaming, I can play some games on the macbook pro, while having a fim or video playing on the external display.
However some games don't play well with a film/video playing on the external, for instance, Eve Online, even in window or full screen moe, if I open VLC on the secondary monitor and start watching a film or video clip after a few seconds XP locks up and I need to power off and restart.
I was wondering if anyone here had that issue? It doesn't happen in OS X but then I'm limited to what game I can play on OS X.
Would the newer revision MBP with the 8600GT be able to cope with playing a game and watching a film at the same time any better than the x1600 mobility?
