First of all i want to apologies for the length, but i hope you can be bothered reading it
Well i've been using m new MBP a lot since i got it and have had no bother up until a few weeks ago when it randomly froze when i was watching a program on the iplayer. I thought nothing of it and just dismissed it as one of those odd things that happens from time to time.
However over the past week especially the problem has seemingly become more and more frequent. Basically it only happens when i watch video on iplayer or youtube. It will sometimes run through an hour long program no bother, other times it will freeze 30 seconds in.
When it freezes the entire system locks up, i cant move the cursor and the only way around it is to hold the power button and force a restart.
I then sometimes get an issue when restarting the system after this crash it will take multiple attempts to actually get to the desktop, as it will hang on a white screen, the apple logo or the little rotating loading dial will freeze requiring another forced restart. The only solution seems to be plugging the power cord in, restarting with it connected and when that freezes forcing yet another shutdown, unplugging the cord and then restarting.
I just checked for updates for my system and found that i had a few to update including the firmware which i have just done and hoped would solve the problem but to no avail.
It now also makes a single low pitched beep noise once every time i start the system up which it never used to do.
Ive searched the web and have found plenty of threads on various forums including the official apple support website but none of them seem to offer any explanation of why it happens or a fix.
Hopefully someone out there can help because it's making me want to pull my head off. Worst experience ive had with a piece of hardware ever, especially since its been flawless since day one.
