Macbook pro from the US

My bro's going to NY next month and im thinking of asking him to bring me a macbook pro back to save a few £££££'s

Just a few things i need to know before i do

Are there any differences between the 2 UK/US?

If i get a problem once ive recievd it ,is it possible to get an exchange within the UK...one thing i am worried about is dead pixels.

Is the Glossy version available off the shelf or is this only through custom configuration?

I'm pretty sure the only difference is gonna be the power cable, you might have to get a UK cable from the Apple store. (Which I guess they do sell, or if it's a Universal cable just get a plug converter)

Worldwide warranty so you are pretty much set.

Only difference will be the plug and the slightly different keyboard layout.

The base spec MacBook Pro costs about £1000 over there, £1300 for us!

You should declare it at customs and pay the appropriate duties. Otherwise it isn't very kosher.

Assuming you don't, the warranty is international.
