Thinking of upgrading my Early 2015 MacBook Pro 13" Retina with either a 480GB or 1TB OWC SSD, I've just started using Parallels and finding my 256GB HHD a little limiting.

Has anyone else done this or can recommend any other HHDs?

Also how do I reinstall OSX or is this stored somewhere else?

It uses PCIe SSD's so id check how easy to fit they are, I assume at this point they were not soldered on.

But your choice is limited as only very specific ones fit in there.

From what I can tell the only option is to go with OWC as a standard M.2 will not work, needs have a special firmware for the Mac.

The actual upgrade looks easy enough from what I have seen, just curious if anyone else on here has already done it and still not quite sure what happens with the OS

The OS - just create install media on a USB drive - back up your current install with time machine, install new drive - boot from install USB - install OSX, restore from time machine to get it back how it was :)
